Get your Interim Reconciliation Submission to SARS done in time
The Employer Interim Reconciliation submission period opened on
13 September 2021. All employers are required to submit their EMP501 Reconciliation to the South African Revenue Service before the deadline of 31 October 2021.
NB: Payrolls must be on Release 5.7a before creating the IRP5 file for import into the latest SARS e@syFile software. You may create the IRP5 file from the live payroll as there is no need to create a copy system for the Interim Reconciliation
How to create IRP5 File
1. Create a SARS submission folder
• Main Menu
• Click on Utilities
• Select RSA Submission Process
After selecting the RSA submission process, or OID report, a SARS submission folder will be created in your Payroll directory.
All documents, files and backups that are generated during the submission procedures, will automatically be saved here.
At the end of the process, you will receive a path confirmation and details regarding everything you need to save for 5 years. You can then either leave it there or copy it to another data storage device.
2. Submission process
Verify the Period End Date information by clicking <continue> to proceed to the Flow Screen. Only if you are satisfied with the information.
Alternatively, if your Period End Date information is incorrect, click on <Close> and contact Support for assistance.
3. Process Flow Screen
The Process Flow Screen will guide you step by step through your Periodic Reconciliation (in your Pay Period ending August) and Tax Year End Submission (in your Pay Period ending February)
The Help and Guide buttons will provide you with more information.
